DONALD SUFKA

Bio.

Donald Sufka nasce in Albania nel 1997 e trascorre l’infanzia tra Albania e Grecia, dove avvengono i suoi primi contatti con l’arte e in particolare con la scultura. Appassionato di disegno fin da bambino, nel 2013 lo porta a intraprende i primi studi artistici presso il Liceo Artistico “Jakov Xoxa” di Fier, sua città natale. Nel 2019 si trasferisce a Carrara per proseguire la formazione all’Accademia di Belle Arti, e nel 2023 consegue il Diploma Accademico di primo livello in Scultura e attualmente sta completando gli studi magistrali.

Vive e lavora a Carrara, dove porta avanti la propria ricerca artistica ed è parte attiva del collettivo del Laboratorio d’Arte Menconi, spazio che dal 2025 gestisce insieme ad altri artisti. La sua attività si divide tra simposi di scultura, mostre e workshop in Italia e in Europa, ma spesso collabora con altri artisti nella realizzazione di opere in marmo, modellazione e altri materiali.

Donald Sufka was born in Albania in 1997 and spent his childhood between Albania and Greece, where he first came into contact with art, particularly sculpture. Passionate about drawing since childhood, in 2013 he began his first artistic studies at the Jakov Xoxa Art School in Fier, his hometown. In 2019, he moved to Carrara to continue his training at the Academy of Fine Arts, and in 2023 he obtained his first-level Academic Diploma in Sculpture and is currently completing his master's degree.

He lives and works in Carrara, where he pursues his artistic research and is an active member of the Menconi Art Laboratory collective, a space he has been managing together with other artists since 2025. His activities are divided between sculpture symposiums, exhibitions and workshops in Italy and Europe, but he often collaborates with other artists in the creation of works in marble, modelling and other materials.
